Tue, October 5, 2004 - 4:18 PMGee, I'll try to be a little more discriminating in my choice of song lyrics from here on out.
Boo da doo dum! Doo dum! Doo Dum!

Tue, October 5, 2004 - 4:48 PM**giggle** wow... I didn't even realize there were two Pauls... shows you how much I pay attention so it's a good thing you were :) -

Re: wow...my tribe
Tue, October 5, 2004 - 5:20 PMOh, you're just lucky you caught me at an early hour. Another four or five, and I would have just assumed you were tossing that my way, and I would have pestered you endlessly and relentlessly because of it.
I'm so good, I know. -

Re: wow...my tribe
Tue, October 5, 2004 - 5:46 PMIt just keeps getting better...the car ride home, not only did I hear Man Eater, but also PRIVATE EYES! Will it ever end???

Re: wow...my tribe
Tue, October 5, 2004 - 5:47 PMOh, I hope not! Bring on the '80s, baby! I lived through it once, I think I can do it again (maybe with my eyes closed this time). -
-
Re: wow...my tribe
Tue, October 5, 2004 - 5:52 PMEyes closed kinda helps when you're wearing gold lamae M.C. Hammer pants in broad daylight;-)
The '80s had some worthwhile music, and I listen to it often, but I gravitate more towards late '60s-early '70s. -
-
Re: wow...my tribe
Tue, October 5, 2004 - 5:55 PMYes, I hear you there. My '80s listening isn't that wide any more, mostly from just being burned the hell out on all of it anymore. Give me some early '70s-produced albums any day of the week! Well, except for Tuesday. Tuesdays are my grunge days. Gotta be well-rounded ;) -

Re: wow...my tribe
Tue, October 5, 2004 - 6:12 PMOh yes, musical diversity es muy importante. I'll listen to anything from 1930s jazz to 1950s country to Nine Inch Nails. There's quite a variety in my collection:-) -
-
Re: wow...my tribe
Tue, October 5, 2004 - 6:20 PMSounds like what's on my iPod. A little bit of this, a little bit of that, a little bit of seltzer down your pants. Helps explains why I own far, far too many cds for the available shelf space.
'50s country... you obviously kick much ass ;) -
-
Re: wow...my tribe
Tue, October 5, 2004 - 7:07 PMheh, the '50s country comes from having a 60-year old two-stepping Texan for a father:-) -
-
Re: wow...my tribe
Tue, October 5, 2004 - 7:25 PMThat'll tend to do it, I would think. I however have no such excuse. I'm just a weirdo.
I also listen to too much Dean Martin, although I try to take the edge off with some relaxing Nine Inch Nails from time to time. -
-
Re: wow...my tribe
Tue, October 5, 2004 - 7:32 PMLove Dean Martin! I'll often catch myself trying to sing-a-long to Volare in my car when I have the Essential Dean Martin cassette in...often gets some funny looks in traffic. -
-
Re: wow...my tribe
Tue, October 5, 2004 - 7:34 PMYou had so better watch out, or you'll be my new best friend! Shall I send some Bing Crosby your way as well? -
-
Re: wow...my tribe
Tue, October 5, 2004 - 7:38 PMWe used to have some of the Bing Crosby specials on tape...I wish I knew what happened to those. -
-
Re: wow...my tribe
Tue, October 5, 2004 - 7:46 PMI've got to find my Crosby/David Bowie "Little Drummer Boy" again... damned cds are so easy to misplace, especially when you forget to label them...
Oh, pity me, for I am a sad, sad man... -
-
Re: wow...my tribe
Tue, October 5, 2004 - 8:05 PMI've got that...it's somewhere on my computer. I like to burn it onto CDs around holiday time...I know a lot of people who haven't heard it, so it makes for a nice change from the 24/7 play of the Johnny Mathis christmas album in our household. Not that I don't love it, it just gets old after the 5-billionth time hearing it. -
-
Re: wow...my tribe
Tue, October 5, 2004 - 9:35 PMOh, I know what you mean, but it's been about two years since I've listened to it myself (which is why I can't find the bloody disk that it's on). And really, it's best enjoyed in video format, just for the freak factor of seeing Bing trying to hold it in that he's standing next to Ziggy Stardust... whacko long-haired hippy bozo. -
-
Re: wow...my tribe
Tue, October 5, 2004 - 9:56 PMGod, never seen the video. Often had visions of what it might look like, though. Bing died in the '70s, right? Therefore, Bowie was really into that whole Ziggy thing. Man...what an image. -
-
Re: wow...my tribe
Tue, October 5, 2004 - 10:01 PMoh, it was indeed freakish, and I loved it. MTV used to show it around Christmastime, back before it began to suck.
Man. I'm old.
